Thanks to cooperation with Auschwitz - Birkenau museum in Oświęcim, on the museum's site under tab "Local partners" a link to our Foundation has been placed. It is the next step of our cooperation in common case, which main objective is to protect any and all leftovers of KL Auschwitz complex.
Numerous collection of genuine artifacts after KL Auschwitz-Birkenau, that the foundation possesses, is in need of conservator's protection, as well as scientific description. The knowledge of Museum's employees is essential in realization of forementioned processes, and it's eventual outcome can help us widen our cognizance of this place, in frame of joint publishing efforts. One of the statute aims of our Foundation is also presenting the artifacts on exhibitions. That is why We are going to support the Auschwitz - Birkenau National Museum in this domain.
Another motivation for our future efforts is also the fact, that they meet understanding and acceptation all along the way. We have already received a lot of messages supporting our venture, among others from the beurau of Polish Culture Minister Mrs Małgorzata Omilanowska, represented by Director of National Heritage department, Mr Jacek Miller. Many institutions have expressed a desire for cooperation, among them are: Museum of World War II in Gdańsk, in person of it's director Proffesor Paweł Machcewicz; Institute of National Memory, branch in Cracow, in person of it's director Mr Jan Baster; Museum of Warsaw Uprising in person of Mrs Anna Grzechnik or Museum of Prisoners of War in Łambinowice, in person of it's diector Mrs Violetta Rezler - Wasilewska.
Our activity has also met a very positive reception abroad. Among the other foreign institutions that support us, there are: Theresienstadt Ghetto Museum in person of it's director Mr Jan Munk; Anne Frank's House in Amsterdam in person of it's director Mr Ronald Leopold; Auschwitz Foundation - Remembrance of Auschwitz, in person of it's director Frederic Crahay, or Imperial War Museum in London in person of Mrs Gina Koutsika.
